Ephemera is an ongoing project that began in 2016 using simple photographic equipment. The photos are taken with 35mm disposable and 'point-and-shoot' cameras to take away the control I have on the outcome of my photographs. As well as using basic equipment, I have used printing companies for developing which has further taken away control that I would usually have in the darkroom. When developing films and photos myself I often spend a lot of time adjusting the composition, straightening the image and experimenting with exposure times and filters. Using external printers takes away the ability for me to make any changes to the shots between the moment when I've pressed the shutter and have a developed image.
